Subvented RCHDs are operated by the non-governmental organisations. With funding allocation from Government, they provide subsidised residential care services for persons with disabilities. The current subvented RCHDs include:
- Hostel for Severely Mentally Handicapped Persons (HSMH)
- Hostel for Moderately Mentally Handicapped Persons (HMMH)
- Transitional Care and Support Centre for Tetraplegic Patients (TCSC)
- Hostel for Severely Physically Handicapped Persons (HSPH)
- Care and Attention Home for the Aged Blind (C&A / AB)
- Hostel for Severely Physically Handicapped Persons with Mental Handicap (HSPH/MH)
- Care and Attention Home for Severely Disabled Persons (C&A / SD)
- Small Group Home for Mildly Mentally Handicapped Children (SGH(MMHC))
- Supported Hostel (SHOS)
- Integrated Vocational Training Centre - Residential Service (IVTC -Residential)
- Halfway House (HWH)
- Long Stay Care Home (LSCH)
- Shine Skill Centre – residential facilities
The majority of applications for subsidised residential care services of the SWD are to be referred by social service units for registration at the SWD's Central Referral System for Rehabilitation Services.
